Basically, the story started nearly 30 years ago at Chamberlain Engineering when Hugh Chamberlain started that company. In late 1998 Chamberlain Engineering, after suffering years of commercial difficulty, was absorbed into a new organisation which was to became CMS.
Since 1999, Jack Cunningham has been Chief Executive, with the Company under new ownership and a new management team in place.
The Company's management and technical expertise has been strengthened considerably with new appointments being made at all levels. The Team has prospered as a result, participating successfully in major international endurance events and, in 2005/6, in the A1GP series around the world.
Chamberlain Motorsport were runners-up in the 1999 FIA GT Championship, the first non-manufacturer Team at Daytona in 2000 and, in 2001 and 2002, CMS (as the organisation became to be known) were selected to test and race the MG EX257 cars at Le Mans and other events on behalf of the manufacturer.
The organisation is acknowledged as one of the world's most experienced sports car and GT racing organisations but has, for some years, now been active in single-seater series such as A1GP. Our current years operations are accessed from the home page, previous years from archive.
