Brief Synopsis of events
(official)
Chamberlain Motorsport ran just one Viper GTS-R in the Race of 1000 years in Adelaide for drivers Stephen Watson, Milka Duno and Ray Lintott.  The race was held during the evening of New Year Eve and the party after the race continued long into New Year.

The drivers were lucky that the temperatures were kept low by cloud cover - very much better than the heat of the previous days.

Stephen Watson started the race but had to pit early when some grit got into an eye. The Australian Ray Lintott followed and after a steady drive he handed over to Milka. Milka has made Adelaide her own with crowds of people following her around wherever she went. All drivers kept the 650hp monster away from the kerbs and walls and, as night fell, the car had moved into the top ten overall and into third in the GTS class.

The last few minutes were particularly exciting as our Viper was chased by the Panoz LMP car as it made up for lengthy stops for repairs. It failed to catch Stephen by only three seconds after 5 hours 45 minutes of racing, with the Viper confirmed 8th overall and 3rd in GTS.

A very happy band of drivers and mechanics celebrated well into the New Year.
