Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Chamberlain announces plans to participate in the Rolex 24 at Daytona

Chamberlain Motor Sport, the UK-based racing team, have announced plans to enter a car in the Rolex 24 Hour Race at Daytona, Florida on January 30/31 1999.

Chamberlain will race a Dodge Viper GTS-R.  Drivers are expected to be Zak Brown (of Indianapolis, USA) and Christian Glasel (of Germany).  A further driver will be announced shortly.

Hugh Chamberlain, Managing Director, states "Daytona is the first race of the year and a very important one at that. Not only is it the foremost American Endurance race, it gives us an ideal opportunity to test our new cars and drivers in the most severe circumstances. There is nothing so difficult as a 24 hour race. Last year we finished third, this year we intend to do even better.  Regarding the rest of the season, there have been some significant changes in the team structure over the last few months, and there are more to come. All will help the Team but, more importantly, our commercial partners. I am looking forward to 1999."

Further information on Daytona and GT Racing is available at www.daytonausa.com and www.fia.com respectively.
