FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chamberlain Motorsport recently took delivery of the first of two new 1999 specification Chrysler Viper race cars for use in the 1999 season.
The Chamberlain team tested the car with a selection of drivers - Ni Amorim, Christian Glasel, Dino Morelli, Christian Vann and John Hugenholtz. All the drivers were very impressed with the performance of the new car as, from a dozen cars, only Olivier Beretta from Oreca was quicker.
The car has now been returned to the UK workshop to be prepared for the first race of the GT Championship at Monza on Sunday 11 April 1999.
Hugh Chamberlain, Managing Director of Chamberlain Motorsport, states 'This is a positive start to the season. We will be announcing the first of our driver team next week. It's been a long time since we were able to test new cars this early in the year. Thing are coming together well'.
