Chamberlain Motorsport have signed Ni Amorim and Christian Glasel as two of the drivers for their new Chrysler Viper GTS-R race cars in 1999.
Ni Amorim drove with the team in 1998 and returns to contest the 1999 FIA GT Championship and the 24 Heures du Mans. Ni is a very experienced driver with an impressive CV. The combination of his speed and experience will be invaluable to the team.
Christian Glasel, the young German driver, who drove the Chamberlain Motorsport Viper in the Rolex 24 at Daytona, USA in January 1999. He will now compete in the full FIA GT Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Man in 1999. Christian's recent motor racing has concentrated on historic race cars but now he has decided to move to sportscars and has already proved himself a competent and competitive driver in the Viper GTS-R.
Hugh Chamberlain, Managing Director, states 'We are delighted to welcome Ni back to a further season with us and to have Christian in our team. Christian is a talented young man and will be a worthy addition to our driver strength. We expect to be announcing the identities of the other contracted drivers during the next week'.
