In almost perfect weather with temperatures in the 80's, the Vipers with their regular drivers of Ni Amorim and Toni Seiler, Christian Glasel and Christian Vann, stunned the opposition by being in first and third places for the majority of the qualifying session.

It took a super human last minute effort by ex-Formula 1 driver, Julian Bailey, in the Lister Storm to wrest pole position from the lead car of Ni Amorim.  However being relegated to second and third places on the grid in front of all the best GT cars in Europe was not a bad effort!

In the race they were not quite so dominant.  A number of small problems such as a spin caused by another car and a puncture necessitating an early pit stop, contrived to drop the cars down to final finishing places of fifth and sixth.

At the beginning of the season the Chamberlain Motorsport Team would have been very happy with fifth and sixth places amongst such company but, with recent successes, there was a sense of anti-climax. This should not be the case; the Team is second in the World Championship standings and are doing an exceptional job against the very best opposition.
